Miles Ellsworth McQuilkin
November 11, 1932 to January 23, 2014 ~ 82 years old
Miles passed away quietly at home.
Miles was born November 11, 1932 in Everett, Washington to Nora Longfellow McQuilkin and Wilson Ellsworth McQuilkin. He is survived by his wife Betty McQuilkin and brothers: Bruce McQuilkin and Lynn McQuilkin; his sisters Pricilla (Dean) Bachtel, Roxanne Eddy, and Arliss Panton; his children Ferill Richardson, Angela Smith, Darcy Schmitt, Brent, Rick Schmitt, and Randall Schmitt; his grandchildren Garrerett Lamonthe, Josh Smith, and Emily Smith; his nephews Larry Eddy and Les Eddy.
Milles attended high school in Shelton (Shelton is the westernmost city on Puget Sound). after which he joined the U.S Air Force, serving in the Korean conflict where he earned various service conduct medals. He was employed by Alcoa and Vanalco in various positions and was a driver of tanker trucks for Arrow transports.
He was well respected in his church community and other community affiliations as well.
Miles was loved by those who knew him and will be missed by all.
