Bless Me, Ultima focuses on a young boy’s spiritual transformation amidst cultural and societal changes in the American Southwest during the 1940s, and the Chicano experience in the context of modernization in New Mexico. Some would call it a Shamanistic introduction to indigenous cultures. A superb movie.

ALC Movie Nights are on the 2nd and 4th Friday of each month. We can hold 13 people with good soft seating that allows everyone to see. There are also pillows for the floor. We usually have nibbles to eat, coffee, tea and filtered water. You’re more than welcome to bring finger food to share, and sometimes we play with the theme of the movie. On the night that we showed Buddy (about a gorilla), bananas and banana bread were offered! Please come enjoy a fun time, and arrive a little early to get your seat, nibbles, and drinks.
