FRIDAY NIGHT MOVIE: WHISPER OF THE HEART
A 14-year-old student lives in Tokyo with her parents as well as her older sister. She is a bookworm and is keen on writing. During an ordinary evening, she looks through the checkout cards in her library books. She discovers they have all been checked out by the same person. She begins to daydream about this mysterious man who shares her taste in books; and the plot thickens. A love story placed in Japan. Whisper of the Heart is one of Hayao Miyazaki’s brilliant animations.
ALC Movie Nights are on the 2nd and 4th Friday of each month. We can hold 13 people with good soft seating that allows everyone to see. There are also pillows for the floor. We usually have nibbles to eat, coffee, tea, and filtered water. You’re more than welcome to bring finger food to share, and sometimes we play with the theme of the movie. On the night that we showed Buddy (about a gorilla), bananas and banana bread were offered! Please come enjoy a fun time, and arrive a little early to get your seat, nibbles, and drinks.
