Service Projects

Giving is its own reward…

The organizations below are charities that ALC has contributed to over the years… enthusiastically and with LOVE!  Currently we periodically vote on where to send a contribution.

Share House

The mission of Share is to lead the hungry and homeless to self-sufficiency by providing food, shelter, housing, education, advocacy and compassion through the strength of our community.

Habitat for Humanity logoHabitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity believes that every man, woman and child should have a decent, safe and affordable place to live. They build and repair houses all over the world using volunteer labor and donations. Their partner families purchase these houses through no-profit, no-interest mortgage loans or innovative financing methods. Decent, stable housing provides more than just a roof over someone’s head. In addition, it offers:

  • Stability for families and children
  • A sense of dignity and pride
  • Health, physical safety and security
  • An increase in educational and job prospects
